(November 6, 2025 – Washington, D.C.) The National Women’s Political Caucus (NWPC) and the National Women’s Political Caucus of California (NWPCCA) honor the extraordinary legacy of Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi, a trailblazer who redefined what it means to lead with courage, conviction, and compassion. As the first woman Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, Speaker Pelosi has been at the forefront of transformative change—championing equality, reproductive freedom, and justice for all.
Throughout her career, she has modeled what true leadership looks like: steadfast in purpose, unshakable in principle, and guided by the belief that progress is made when women have a seat at every table where decisions are made. Her leadership has inspired generations of women to step into power unapologetically, to legislate with heart, and to govern with integrity.
As Speaker Pelosi steps back from elected office, her influence endures in every woman who dares to lead, speak truth to power, and demand equity. The National Women’s Political Caucus and its California chapter remain committed to continuing her legacy—recruiting, training, and electing pro-choice women to every level of government.
We are hopeful that her successor in Congress will uphold the values she championed—especially the fundamental right to reproductive freedom—and that the people of San Francisco will again elect a pro-choice woman who carries forward her spirit of fearless advocacy.
Speaker Pelosi’s retirement marks the end of an era, but her impact will resonate for generations. We thank her for showing the world that when women lead, the nation moves forward with strength and compassion.
