We were founded by strong women. We are led by strong women, and we endorse and support strong women for elected and appointed offices nationwide. We need more strong women like you to join us in our efforts.
At NWPC, you’ll find many ways to make a difference in the fight for women’s rights. We need women of all ages, races and backgrounds to get involved and help us gain strength in numbers.
MEMBER SPOTLIGHT
Jennifer Watson, PhD, has been an NWPC member for seven years and is the CEO and Chief Scientist of Limuless, where she’s working to replace traditional LAL testing with a recombinant alternative that protects horseshoe crabs and expands access to critical contamination testing.
She also serves as President of the Tennessee Women’s Political Caucus, represents District 21 on the Tennessee Democratic Party Executive Board, and is active in local Democratic leadership. Through NWPC, she launched the endorsement program and helped revive Women’s Day on the Hill, now heading into its fourth year.

Why get INVOLVED?
As a woman, most likely you have faced inequality, whether in the workplace, in school or even at home. You might have struggled with:
- Trying to get equal pay for the work you do
- Needing family planning or abortion services
- Finding affordable child care or dependent care
These issues can be challenged and changed through political action. The more women involved in NWPC, the greater chance we have to effect change.

Become A Member
As a member, you will help us gain strength in numbers. Your membership fees also help train and support progressive, pro-choice candidates.
Become An Intern
The NWPC staff is small, so we rely heavily on interns in our day-to-day operations. Our interns are progressive thinkers who are passionate about women’s rights.
Become A Volunteer
NWPC supports many women candidates in local, state and national elections for public office. Many of these campaigns need volunteers.
