NWPC Long Island is proud to announce the Young Women’s Leadership Network sponsored in part by grant funding from the Nation Women’s Political Caucus Foundation

The Young Women’s Leadership Network (YWLN) is an annual forum to engage high school and early college age young women to help them better understand the political process. We are proud to present this program which is partially funded by a grant from the National Women’s Political Caucus Foundation. Sessions will cover topics including, but not limited to, political offices, policy issues handled by each level of government, the process of running for office (at all levels) and the importance of women in government. In addition, we will engage these young women in understanding the current local and national political landscape and the critical importance of achieving political equality for women.

The participants will learn more about government and politics, meet and connect with elected officials from across Long Island and New York State and participate in practical exercises that will benefit them as they move forward with their educational and career pursuits. These young women will connect with other young women from across Long Island and develop relationships that will last into their future.
